Privacy Policy — Apptics Analyzer
Apptics Analyzer ("the extension") helps you inspect the public information behind the Shopify or WooCommerce store in your current browser tab. This policy explains exactly what it does and does not do with data.
What the extension accesses
- The current tab's address. When you open the extension on a
store — or as a lightweight badge while you browse — the store's domain (e.g.
example.com) is sent to our server atanalyzer.apptics.xyzto look up that store's publicly available information. - The current page's markup. A content script performs a passive check for Shopify markers to decide whether to show the toolbar badge. It reads no form fields, no personal content, and never modifies the page.
What we retrieve
Using the store's domain, our server fetches publicly available store data — theme, installed apps, tracking pixels, checkout provider, product catalog, traffic estimates, and results from Meta's public Ad Library. This is information about the store, not about you.
What we do NOT collect
- No names, emails, passwords, or other personally identifiable information.
- No financial, health, or location data.
- No keystrokes, form inputs, or personal communications.
- We do not build or sell a profile of your browsing history.
Storage
The extension caches a store's product count locally in your browser
(chrome.storage.session) so the badge doesn't re-fetch the same store
repeatedly. This cache stays on your device and is cleared when the browser session
ends.
Data sharing
We do not sell or transfer any user data to third parties. Store-domain lookups are used only to return the requested public store data and are not used for advertising, creditworthiness, or any purpose unrelated to the extension's single function.
Third-party sources
To return results, our server requests publicly accessible endpoints from the analyzed store and from Meta's public Ad Library. Their handling of data is governed by their own policies.
